What is Pilates?
Pilates is a holistic physical & mental conditioning exercise system consisting of slow, precise movements aimed at improving body awareness, posture and alignment, strength, flexibility, muscle balance and ease of movement. There is an emphasis on the mind-body connection and breathing. By targeting the muscles that hold you in good alignment, you learn to move more efficiently.Pilates can be performed with minimal equipment in a matwork class or with large equipment in a Studio setting.
